Help & frequently asked questions

What people ask before buying, or before playing. Another question? Use the Contact page.

Is the game free?

Yes: the logic game (10 free circuits, the daily challenge, and Bit's Journey with 3 new circuits a day), the jigsaw puzzles, the puzzle of the day and the “Learn” pages are free, with no account. The Pass, the printable escape games, the Teacher Pack and the HD wallpapers are optional purchases at a fixed price, with no subscription.

Where are my files after I pay?

Right after payment, Payhip emails you your download link. Keep that email: it is also your receipt. Nothing there? Check your spam folder, then write to us with the address you paid with (a typo is easy to make) and we will resend the link.

My file won't open.

The printable kits come as a ZIP file. On a computer, right-click it and choose “Extract all” (Windows) or double-click it (Mac); on a phone or tablet, open it with your Files app. Then open the PDFs with any PDF reader, and the kit's code page in your web browser. Still stuck? Tell us your device and the exact error message.

How do I print the kits?

On a home printer, on A4, single-sided and at 100% (actual size, not “fit to page”); on US Letter paper, choose “Fit”. Use the same setting for every page. Many printers switch to double-sided on their own: check that setting before you print. Just in case, the pieces to cut out or lay on top of each other have a blank page on the back; when printing single-sided you can skip those pages (their numbers are on the kit's cover). Colour looks nicer, but every puzzle works in black and white. The cover is optional. You can reprint the kit as many times as you like for your own games.

Can I print an escape game more than once?

Yes, as many times as you like, for your own games. What is not allowed: reselling the files or sharing them publicly.

Which escape games are available in English?

Professor Volt's Lab (4 puzzles, ages 12 and up, €12) and The Fireflies' Forest (5 puzzles, ages 10 and up, €12), or both together for €19. Each game is for 2 to 6 players, and the kit, the game master's guide and the code page are all in English. The same games also exist in French.

Can I use them with a class or a club?

Yes. The escape games can be printed for your own classes and clubs, and the Teacher Pack (€15, in English) gives you six one-hour lessons and an introductory lesson, with answer keys, to use with your own students or members. In every case: no reselling.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The site installs like an app (Android: ⋮ menu > “Install app”; iPhone: Safari > Share > “Add to Home Screen”) and then starts without a network. With the Pass you also download the game as a single file that opens in your browser. A first visit with an internet connection is needed to load everything. Activating a Pass key also needs a connection.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes, on phones, tablets and computers, in an up-to-date browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox). Circuits and jigsaw puzzles work with a finger or a mouse. If a screen looks wrong, tell us your device and browser.

Where is my progress saved?

In your browser, on your device: nothing is sent to us. It does not follow you to another device or browser, and it is lost if you clear the site's data or play in a private window. With the Pass, enter your key again and every circuit unlocks; your stars and solved circuits do not come back.

How does the Pass key work?

You receive it by email after buying the Pass or the Complete Pack. You paste it once in the “Already have a Pass?” box at the bottom of the Bit's Journey page, with an internet connection, and press “Activate”. Do this on each device you want to unlock. Never post your key in public.

Are the pictures made with AI?

Yes, most of them: they are generated by AI on our own computer, then hand-picked. Four of them are real NASA photos, credited as such. Every picture is labelled, and the full list is visible before you buy. The HD wallpapers are for personal use: wallpaper on your devices, or a print for yourself.

Can I get a refund?

Because the files are delivered straight away, you give up the 14-day right of withdrawal by ticking the box before you pay (the Terms of sale page, linked at the bottom of this page, explains why). If a file is unreadable or something is wrong, write to us through the Contact page: we look at each case.

How will the payment appear on my statement, and what about taxes?

Your payment will appear on your statement as PAYHIP* WIRE GATE. For buyers in the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada, local taxes on digital products are collected by Payhip and already included in the displayed price: the price you pay is always the price shown.

Do I get an invoice?

Your receipt email from Payhip includes a link to your invoice. If you need a specific name or address on it, write to us with your order number.

I'm under 18. Can I buy?

You can play the free games without asking anyone, and no sign-up is needed. To buy something, ask a parent. We never ask for your age, and we only need an email address to send your files.

What is the Discord for?

Sharing challenges and helping each other. It is optional: the games and your purchases work without it. Never post your Pass key or your purchase email in public.

How do I contact you?

Everything is on the Contact page, with the link to the Discord. You can write to us in English.
